Benefits of training with a kettlebell!

It is common knowledge that free weight compound exercises are more beneficial than isolated machine exercises

Kettlebell exercises are typically compound movements, great for improving body composition, strength training, muscle tone, weight loss and much more!

Here are just a few benefits to using a kettlebell to train with:

Great for functional training

Using a wide range of kettlebell exercises will improve joint, ligament and tendon strength making daily activities easier and in turn mean you will be less susceptible to injuries

Makes your workouts more enjoyable

Ever get bored of the same old 3 sets of 10 reps? Be creative with kettlebells, use a variety of compound exercises and get twice the workout in whilst maintaining the fun and challenging aspect

A good combination of "cardio" and strength training

Get out of the habit of sitting on a recumbent bike for 30 minutes or walking on a treadmill for your full gym session, grab a kettlebell and incorporate them into your workout, you'll see the benefit of this after your first session!

Amazing for fat loss

First of all you now already know kettlebells offer a great cardio workout, as well as this the strength training involved will great dense muscle in turn burning calories from the fat stores. In our opinion, there's not a better way of burning fat than combining strength training with cariovascular training, luckily for you, kettlebells can offer both at the same time!

There's just a few benefits, we love to use kettlebells in all of our training because we believe that it works, and we have evidence of just that from our client results.

One great form of exercise you MUST attempt!

Yes you read that right...

This week I've been doing a lot of this, and as I've put my shovel and spades away I've realised how amazing I feel.. not only physically but mentally too!

Now research has already suggested that gardening does improve your health and we've known this for generations, I can 100% now see how!

We know it's important to have "'me time" and do different things (one thing a day your uncomfortable with) and this is especially important as we become more technologically obsessed

Did you know that gardening is very beneficial in weight management and helps to reduce the risk of heart related illnesses and other health conditions such as osteoporosis?

Gardening has also been shown to decrease your cortisol levels (the stress hormone) and this is the point I want to expand on..

As I continued pulling the weeds I came to a realisation that I was in an altered state of consciousness, or in the zone such as that as when your doing yoga or mediation. It felt magical and like I was connecting with myself spiritually, I could feel the meaning of life, and I felt incredibly grateful of my life

The purpose of this is instead of watching too much tv, spending time playing games and wondering why life is so stressful, pick up some gardening tools and get your hands dirty...

... trust me, you'll feel the mental health benefits of doing so especially when you have this many bags full of weeds!
